No Heroes

And My One Degree of Separation from The List

Since the later months of 2025, I have had this phrase stuck in my head. I mentioned it in my new year podcast episode that was about being determined to make this year a better one for myself. I still hold that intention, but holy shit has 2026 come out swinging. The idea of “no heroes” is basically just that it’s not worth putting people on a pedestal because so often, it’s only a matter of time until you are disappointed by them. Being callous and putting zero faith in other humans isn’t helpful either, but when people become gurus, influencers, and thought leaders, we tend to forget that they are human and a lot of us are deeply fucked up.

In 2025, I had some personal experiences that hit the resonant frequency of the “no heroes” bell in my mind, but with the newest wave of Epstein-related news, that bell is ringing like Quasimoto on coke.
